Catch up on our webinar: The Power of Storytelling in Public Services

Catch up on our webinar on The Power of Storytelling in Public Services: Ways to Encourage Participation, Win Support, and Bring Your Work to Life. This webinar took place on Wednesday 1st February 2023.

Being able to communicate the role and benefits of your services is critical. But many public services struggle to articulate their full value - to users, colleagues and the wider public.

Adopting a storytelling approach is an effective tool to help you address this, change perceptions and put the voice of service users at the centre. Stories are powerful because they change people’s minds and hearts. Storytelling is an essential human need and an important strategy for change.

In this webinar, John Copps was joined by a panel of experienced colleagues from children’s services, public health and local government to debate the importance of storytelling in public services, and outline the benefits on offer for those who master the approach. John was joined by:

  • Kathy Evans, Chief Executive, Children England

  • Scott Darraugh, Chief Executive of Social AdVentures CIC

  • Ben Dickenson, Voice and Influence Lead at Newcastle City Council and Vice Chair of Newcastle Creates
