Watch our free webinar as we explore potential implications of the Government’s commitment to “establish Young Futures Hubs in every local area” as part of the Young Futures Programme.
We were joined by a panel of experts from local government and the voluntary sector to unpack what this ambition could mean in practice—and how we can build on the wealth of experience from existing multi-agency models supporting young people.
From Family Hubs to Early Support Hubs to No Wrong Door, local support hubs are not a new concept. But what lessons can we draw from these initiatives to inform the development of Young Futures Hubs? What works, what doesn’t—and how can we ensure these new hubs are truly responsive to the needs of young people?
The session featured perspectives from those who have delivered similar models, as well as advocates and leaders in youth mental health and local delivery. Anya Kemble, Senior Consultant, hosted the discussion and shared insights from her work on the Fostering Recruitment and Retention Hub programme. Anya was joined by:
Helen Mann – CEO, Young Westminster Foundation
Steve Kay – Director, Birmingham City Council
Charlotte Rainer – Coalition Manager, The Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition
Steve Bywater – Programme Manager, Westminster City Council
