Third sector in Barnsley bouncing back from Covid-19

Mutual Ventures is delighted to have partnered with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) since July 2021 to support local charities and social enterprises recover and reset following the COVID-19 crisis.

The aim of the Covid Bounceback Programme has been to provide local organisations with the skills and knowledge to deliver their visions and create new opportunities, whilst improving resilience and safeguarding jobs.

One strand of the programme was dedicated to the Community and Voluntary Sector for organisations based in Barnsley of any size and maturity. BMBC commissioned Mutual Ventures to lead on the delivery of the work.

The following three videos illustrate some of the support we have provided:

  • helping Barnsley CVS engage with its members and stakeholders to create a new strategy for 2022 and beyond

  • volunteer recruitment approach and raising the profile of Hope in Community

  • developing a new funding strategy for Trans Pennine Trail
