More Government funding available to support new delivery models

Updated: Mar 30, 2021

Tracey Crouch – Minister for Sport and Civil Society has announced a further £1 million in funding for the Mutuals Support Programme which supports organisations looking to either become or grow as Public Service Mutuals (see definition below). This is in addition to the £1.7 million already allocated to the overall programme when it launched in January 2018 and follows a higher than expected level of interest.

Mutual Ventures lead one of only two consortia able to access this funding and are delighted to be working in partnership with Baxendale, BWB and Bevan Brittan to deliver our support.  See here for more detail on eligibility and the application process.

Mutuals Support Programme 2 funding can be used to support the creation of new delivery models, or strengthen existing ones, by providing access to advice including: options appraisals; business planning; financial modelling; legal advice; and people and operations planning.

Applications are now open for the programme until the end of June. The Government is particularly interested in applications from organisations looking to create new Public Service Mutuals in children’s services, health, adult social care, and culture and leisure services.
