Mutual Ventures and PPI Solutions have previously worked together to develop the award winning Staffordshire and East Sussex Healthwatch social enterprises.

Patient and Public Involvement and Mutual Ventures are leading this timely Masterclass. Day 1 will focus on diagnosing your current situation and assessing your readiness for business development with Day 2 focusing on understanding your potential customers as well as learning about creating a strong commercial offering.
Day 1 – Readiness for business development
Understanding readiness for business development: looking at governance and operational structures that help and hinder
Understanding key components of a Healthwatch business development plan
Healthwatch, business development and independence: identifying your core Healthwatch offer and what the business development opportunities are beyond that
Completing a PESTLE analysis to understand the current context
Looking at Competition Vs Collaboration
Stakeholder influence in the context of Healthwatch business development
Day 2 – Commercial Awareness
Understand the customer, what they want, how happy they are, how to provide outstanding service
Identify and assess new market opportunities & gaps in the market (opportunity development and assessment)
Understand how to create an atmosphere for innovation
Understand how to trial new services or approaches & quickly assess the potential
Understand how to bid for and win new work, and build resilience (you won’t always be successful)
