Achieving outcomes must be integrated into the culture of delivery. Targets, measures and incentives are a powerful way of understanding, tracking and driving delivery performance. However, they need to be applied intelligently, based on what is needed in a place and in the context of existing systems, relationships and culture.

There are pitfalls to avoid - getting this right is a balance between being clear about what is expected while not being overly prescriptive. It’s important to have clear measures of success from the outset of a project to help articulate when outcomes have been achieved. But we also know that an over-focus on tightly-defined targets and systems of personal reward and progression can lead to projects focusing on evidencing achievement of specific KPIs, rather than delivering genuine change for communities.

In this webinar, we will reflect on how you get this balance right, including how to identify the right things to measure, the role of leaders in setting the right culture to enable delivery of outcomes and how outcomes should be set and delivered at local and national levels.

Principal Consultant, Anya Kemble, will chair the discussion and will be joined by experts in delivery:

  • Sarah Johal MBE, National Adoption Strategic Lead, Adoption England

  • Louisa Mitchell MBE, CEO, AllChild

  • Kate Adern, Co-Chair, Re:State
