Professor Pete Marsh

Peter has over thirty years’ experience in social innovation and entrepreneurship, much of it based on his substantial research in the social sciences. He is Emeritus Professor of Child and Family Welfare at the University of Sheffield. His evaluations include a wide range of social enterprise organisations, in different sectors. He has worked with many innovative programmes and projects, particularly in children’s social care, and alongside practitioners and policy makers at all levels.

Peter has been a lead academic partner to both the Social Work Practices programme and the Cabinet Office Mutuals task force, and therefore brings unrivalled knowledge of these two closely connected policy areas.
