Ann Marie Dodds

Ann Marie is an experienced leader. She has held a number of senior positions across local government, the civil service, and the Youth Justice Board, including an 18-month role as acting Director of Children’s Services (DCS). In this role she was responsible for holding the DCS statutory responsibilities. She also has extensive experience in leading large and challenging services, managing significant revenue, capital, and human resources.

Ann Marie has extensive strategic and operational experience across the full range of children’s services, including education and SEND. She is a strategic thinker with a demonstrable track record of partnership working, and successfully delivering transformational change and organisational development.

Ann Marie has well-developed skills in influencing within complex political environments. She is able to communicate and network effectively across organisational and agency boundaries, with the ability to distil complex topics into clear messages that are insightful and intellectually robust.
