Shomik Dutta

Before joining Mutual Ventures, Shomik built over eight years of experience across Australia and the UK delivering strategic and infrastructure advisory services across leading consulting firms including Grant Thornton, Deloitte and PwC. He has advised government and major institutions on complex strategic initiatives spanning infrastructure investment, housing, health, education and major cultural and sporting assets.

Shomik brings deep expertise in enterprise strategy development, strategic business case design, cost benefit analysis and economic and financial modelling. His work includes leading feasibility studies, investment prioritisation exercises and procurement evaluations, translating complex quantitative analysis into clear, evidence-based insights to inform senior decision‑making and long-term policy direction. He has extensive experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders across government and industry.

Shomik is passionate about strengthening public value through rigorous analysis and effective decision frameworks, supporting governments to make confident, transparent and value‑for‑money investment decisions.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics (Honours) from Macquarie University.
