Michael Wyatt | Junior Consultant
After completing his Human Sciences (BSc) degree at University College London, Michael joined Mutual Ventures from a local authority background. He has spent time in various teams within Children’s Services, including Children with Disabilities and SEND, as well as supporting the learning and development of public service staff. Michael’s passion for effective and sustainable services grew during his time as the Children and Young People’s Engagement and Participation Lead for a Local Safeguarding Children’s Partnership, where he conducted various projects and delivered high level strategic recommendations on how to better safeguard young people in his community. An engagement model has since been implemented across the borough based on these recommendations and sits within the borough’s long-term plan.
Michael holds a position on an NHS Stakeholder Forum that helps assess and develop digital services within primary care across the UK. With integration between health and social care becoming increasingly more necessary, the need to understand and effectively utilise digital services is likely to become ever more urgent. Michael has a dedicated interest for healthcare provision and service delivery, and is due to have a paper published in 2019 on a proposed case for a more holistic biopsychosocial intervention approach to adolescents with a chronic illness.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys taking short city breaks around Europe, reading psychology and medical literature and playing sports.
