Lincolnshire County Council – Health and Social Care Integration
Lincolnshire County Council commissioned Mutual Ventures to support them in understanding the process involved in creating an Integrated Care Organisation and to develop a roadmap for integrating adult social care services with local health services. The council were keen to understand the different models available, how they were being used in other areas and the lessons from where projects elsewhere had not been successful.
Our support was to assist the Council in exploring the current and future potential for integrating adult social care services with health services. Our support included a review of best practice on integration of health and social care and current progress made towards this goal in Lincolnshire.
This enabled an analysis of the benefits and risks associated with integration for the council and the potential for working more closely with the NHS. We held several workshops to gather the views of senior stakeholders on which options for integration would be desirable, financially viable and feasible for the council.
